Retired Nurse Elder Zelma Marzel Clarke-Johnson Age 62 Years of #2 Alexandria Road,
Sunset Park off Carmichael Road, attended her final patient at the Princess Margaret Hospital
on Saturday, October 13, 2018.


She was born at United Estates, San Salvador, the Bahamas on Wednesday, April 04, 1956.
They christened her Zelma. Zelma became the sixth child. She started her education at the
all age school in San Salvador and completed it at A. F. Adderley Senior High School. Upon
graduating she further her education by enrolling into School of Nursing where she graduated
as a Trained Clinical Nurse April 1975.


Zelma persuade her passion for helping others by starting her career working at Princess Margaret
Hospital and later on moving to Sandilands Rehabilitation Center where she work for over 30 plus years.


While working at Sandilands Zelma was approached by a handsome young man that also worked
there by the name of Brian Johnson. Zelma of cause paid no mind and laugh off his efforts, but
Brian was persistent and never gave up, coming to her house later to carry her out, knowing that
Brain was determined because from he first met her it was love at first sight. Zelma finally given
in and started to date Brian where as her love for him grown especially upon seeing that he not
only loved her but loved and accepted her daughter Desiree.


Brian did not hesitate to make Zelma his other half after they was both bless with a son they
named Keith. Zelma and Brian became one on Saturday, October 28, 1995 at Kemp Road Union
Baptist Church where Reverend Warren Kendal Anderson blessed their marriage.


Zelma loved the Lord and knew that there was a special call upon her life.  At an early age she
dedicated her life to the Lord. Realizing God wanted more from her. Zelma Johnson became a
member of Trinity Global Cathedral in 1998. During the church second service. She was ordained
as a Minister of the Gospel by Bishop Trevor Williamson. She became one of the first Ordained
Elders of Trinity. Therefore served within the Executive Counsel. Elder Johnson served within
different areas with the church over these past twenty years. She served as Armor-bear to Pastor
Sharon Williamson. Director of Altar Ministry. She also served as a choir member and a member
of the Evangelism Ministry. Her last post was assistant director of the intercessors prayer ministry.


During her life Zelma found out that she had Cancer.  However, she was determined not to allow
that to take charge of her life. She fought as hard as she can with the hopes of one day seeing her
grandkids become Godly adults.


Zelma is preceded in death by her:

Mother: Eloise Meldosha Jones-Clarke;
Daughter: Desiree Alecia Clarke-Forbes;
Brothers: Bishops Henry and Godfrey Clarke and Kenneth Clarke;
Sisters: Marva Nairn, Elizabeth, Shirley, Sandra, Elvera and Miriam Clarke;
Nephews: Matthew Clarke and Germaine Nairn;
Niece: Shanette Clarke;

The Radiance of this "Diamond of A Gem" will always glow in the hearts of her:
Husband: Brian Keith Johnson;
One Son: Keith Ervin Johnson Sr. (Andrea Quetell);
Five Grandsons: Christopher Desmond Forbes, Keith Jr., Kevanno, Keitho and Kbrian Johnson;
Two Granddaughters: Esther Athena Forbes and Keithera Johnson;
One Great Grandson: Mosses;
Two Brothers: Pastor Stafford Clarke of Freeport and Anthony David Clarke of Oakville Ontario, Canada;
Two Sisters: Cora L. Clarke and Rosena "Val" Clarke-Turner of Crowley, Texas;
Thirteen Nephews: Keith of Florida (Felicia), Trevor (Ariel and Amita), Layton, Gawain, Ethan, Fonze,
Javaughn, Javard, Miquel and Evan Clarke, and Reinaldo Winters (Shahnez, Cierra, Shemar) Tomoko
Nairn and Jay Edward Turner;

Eleven Nieces: Patrice Stubbs (Michael and Mia), Keturah, Vanessa, Lonie and Siobhan Clarke,
Kendra Clarke-Severe, Sandrea Clarke-Bullard (Sadrell, Malachai and Baby), Sophia Winters-Forbes
(Aidyn, Khaidyn and Greer), Davianne Cartwright, Areshea Nairn (Jasmine) and Valencia Turner;

Cousins: Luther, Dorothy, Patsy, Bobby and Dorothy Jones, Francina Jones-Henderson,
Maxine Burrows, Vernita Curry, Esphelene Sands, Gelitha Humes, Anniemae Rahming,
Blomfield Ferguson, Arnold, Christopher, Lorene and Charlene Clarke and their families;

Four Brothers-in-law: Patrick (Deborah), Anthony (Monique), Ricardo and Dwayne Johnson;
