Wilston Joel Sands

Wilston Joel "Pa-Chance" Sands Age 75 Years of Stanyard Creek Andros, 
Bahamas finished this walk of life on Saturday, March 15, 1997 at his home.

Wilston was born on Saturday, October 15, 1921 at Stanyard Creek Andros, Bahamas. 
He was the second child born to the late George and Rudell Sands. 
He attended the Stanyard Creek All-Age School. He was also an active 
member of the Methodist Church at Stanyard Creek.

Will left home and went to Cat Cay where he was employed as a caretaker. 
He later returned to Andros to take a job as a construction worker on Autec Base. 
He was later employed at C.D.C. on the Rice Farm. He also worked for the 
Bahamas Government as a watchman.

In July 1946 he met the lovely Leola Sands. On Saturday, January 18, 1947 
they were joined in Holy Matrimony. To this union ten children were born, 
seven of whom have preceded him in death. Will, will always be remembered 
as an adventurous, no nonsense, determined, energetic, wonderful individual.

The Radiance of this "Opal of A Gem" will always glow in the hearts of his:

Fourteen Grand Children: Sharmine, Chris and Elvage Mackey, Jerome,

Elvern, Terrence and Kathrina Wright;
Sixteen Great Grand Children Including: Duran Mackey and Leonardo Johnson;
Three Brothers: George, Lawarence and Harry Sands;
Two Sisters: Inez Sands and Natalie McNeil;
Two Sons-in-law: Elgin Wright and Leo Mackey;
One Daughter-in-law: Wanda Jean Sands;
Two Brothers-in-law: Ronald and Clarance Sands;
Three Sisters-in-law: Elaine, Maranette and Cynthia Sands;
Two Grandsons-in-law: Juan Moss and Shawn Gardiner;
One Granddaughter-in-law: Katherine Mackey;
Numerous Nephews and Nieces Including: Victor, Wesley, Harry, Denise, Kenva, 
Dwayne, Inez, Rudell, Joan, Mishalean, Michell and Monique Sands, Almarie Neymour, 
Patrica Kemp, Anita Clare, Kirkland and Donmarie Mackey;
Other loving family and friends including: Basil and Prince Munroe, Joyce Sands, 
Iva Bain, Naomi Whyms, Zorina Woods, Thomas and Doreen Porter, Harrington Frazer, 
Atwell Dean, Eva Newbold, Corrine and Masella Saunders, Delores Nottage, Tesslemae Duncombe,
