William Conrad "Mr. Bill" Sweeting Sr., Age 84 Years of Deep Creek, Eleuthera Bahamas, 
passed away on Monday, August 13, 2001 at A&A Comfort Care Centre, Breadfruit Street
Pinewood Gardens, Nassau, New Providence, The Bahamas.


William was born in the settlement of Freetown Deep Creek, Eleuthera, Bahamas
on Wednesday, November 15, 1916. He was the first-born son.


Mr. Bill as he was best known met and fell in love with (Gretel Louise Thompson)
and they became lifelong partners. This union produced fourteen children.


Mr. Sweeting, spent most of his life as a farmer, skilled carpenter, mason and land surveyor.
However, his greatest pre-occupation was reading. In 1947 Bill traveled to Florida to find
gainful employment, to care for his family working on the project. He returned home after
several years and continued his career as a farmer. Bill also worked at various community
and private projects, such as road construction, development of isolated Cays and building of homes.
He worked at Cotton Bay, Jacks Bay, Powel's Point and Cape Eleuthera.


In 1967 he took on other tasks such as Post Master and Senior Justice of the Peace for the
settlement of Deep Creek. He attended Zion Baptist Church, where he became the
Superintendent of the Sunday school for many years.


William is preceded in death by his:

Mother: Estelle McKenzie;

Constance, Dwight, Samantha, Pearlene, Humphrey, Reynard, Dulse, Julius,
Latoya, Shelton, Erica, Eric Jr., Sherese, Condra, Christian, Kristina, Zoe, Garric,
India, Lorial, Lawrence Jr., Gia, Garon, Evan, Robyn, Kyle, Kylisa, Rofeno, Rasjinique Sr.,
Roberto, Akeen, Rashad, Joshua, Travis, Adam and Moses;

Great Grand Children: Montez, Tamika, Lauren, Jade, Jaime, Jordan, Marion, Ravi and Rasjinique Jr.;
Two Sisters: Zilpha Gibson and Maydone Anderson;
Nephews and Nieces: Oral Pinder Junior J.P., Gloria Goodman of Nassau, Francis Holmes
and Richard Pinder of Florida, Wendel, Wilmore, Clarence, Cedrick, Richard, Jack, Eulese,
Cedricka and Althea Gibson, Leotha, Glovabell, Christine, Edmond, Glenwood and Dwight Anderson;

In-laws Including: Remilda, Valderine, Betty, Karen and Helen Sweeting, Thaddeus Darling,
