William Edwin "Lill Darlin" Allen

William Edwin "Lil Darlin" Allen Age 64 Years of Queens Highway, 
Tarpum Bay Eleuthera, Bahamas exchange this life of eternity,
at the Princess Margaret Hospital on Friday, January 04, 2008.


William was born in the beautiful settlement of Trapum Bay Eleuthera, Bahamas
on Thursday, June 24, 1943. William was educated at the Tarpum Bay all Age School.
He was very ambitious and was taught at a very early age to work hard.


William was employed at various jobs over the years. As a young man,
William began work at Pan Am Airlines, later he drove the service truck for
South Eleuthera Properties for many years. Afterwards he became an accountant
at the Cotton Bay Club, later he became the head gardener at the Rock Sound Club.
He worked as head supervisor at the Winding Bay Club, he also worked at
rock Sound Properties and until he was refined due to health, he worked as a
gardener and care taker at the Windermere Island Club.


William had his eyes on a beautiful light skin and long-haired girl named Sarah Hunt,
who lived just a stone through away. Many days they would get a glimpse of each other
from their upstairs window. After three years of dating, they were engaged, and on
Tuesday, November 28, 1967 they were married at Rhodes Methodist Church, in
Nassau, New Providence, The Bahamas. This union produced eight children, whom he loved very much.


William, daddy or pa as he was called, was a devoted husband and father.
His family was very important to him. He always encouraged his children to
work hard and go to church. His grand children were the apple of his eyes.
He shone like a bright light whenever they were around. Whatever he had he
always kept something for them. He loved music. Whenever he was in church,
you would always hear the tambourine. He enjoyed cooking and watching TV "
Judge Judy and Wrestling were his favorite shows."


William is preceded in death by his:
Father: Henry Theodore Allen;
Mother: Adalaide Major-Allen;

Three Daughters: Charmine Munroe, Florina Symonette and Nadeen Carey;
Six Grand Sons: Tyrone Jr., Aldin and Antonio Munroe, Elton Jr. and Ashton Symonette and Valentino Allen;
Three Grand Daughters: Emma Munroe, Walecia and Antoinae Allen;
One Adopted Daughter: Patreika Mackey;
Two Sons-in-law: Elton Symonette Sr. and Ian Carey;
Four Daughters-in-law: Vernice, Michelle, Marissa and Erica Allen;
One Brother: Henry "Kinky" Allen;
Three Sisters: Ruth and Julie Ann Carey and Karen Gardiner;
Four Aunts: Olivia and Hilda Allen, Evangelie Jervis of Freeport, Grand Bahama and Lizzie Major;
Thirteen Brothers-in-law: Gordon and Timbert Carey, Orlanda Morley, Brad Gardiner, James,
Gus, Michael, Willie, Dawson, Percy, Danie, Del and Andrew Hunt;

Ten Sisters-in-law: Helen and Esthermae Allen, Edith Darville, Anita Rolle, Vandaline,
Laverne, Vernell, Sandra and Rosetta Hunt and ChrisAnn Knowles;

Numerous Nephews and Nieces Including:  Philip and Delphine Turner, George, Jason,
