Tyrone Arthur Archer Jr. Age 31 Years of #22 Rose Close, off Iguana Way, off Carmichael Road
completed his earthly walk of this life, at his residence on Friday, August 02, 2024.
He was born at Nassau, New Providence, The Bahamas on Monday, September 28, 1992. Tyrone was
the cutest 7lbs 15.5 oz baby boy in the private ward of the Princess Margaret Hospital.
His parents, Jan Antoine and Tyrone Archer Sr. were overjoyed at the miracle of his birth.
As he was born on his father's birthday, they named him Tyrone Arthur Archer Jr. He was
the first of three sons born to the Archers. He was a happy active baby who was curious about everything.
'TT', as he was affectionately called, was a joyous child who loved riding his bike and playing hand-held
games like Dragon Ball Z and later one-piece anime, Yu-gi-oh, and Call of Duty. On weekends he and
Teron would follow his mother to the baseball field where they would team up with Godbrother,
Kendon to climb the seagrape and almond trees and get into all sorts of mischief.
He looked forward to the summer months when he and his brothers would join his father as deckhands
on the Daybreak Ferry. During his childhood years he enjoyed traveling with Grammy Pearline to
Miami boasting that his money was longer than "train smoke"; or traveling with Grammy Mizpah to
Montreal, Hattiesburg and Chuck E Cheese in Miami for Tosh's birthday. Traveling to Eleuthera was
another preferred activity where he would visit his siblings and Monique. After church on Sundays,
it was stopping to Auntie Tuna for a snack or Uncle Don whom they thought was the coolest. During
Christmas, it was time for Grammy Dee's annual party and most importantly lots of "cups" chips
and salty sausage.
Tyrone was baptized and confirmed in St. Matthew's Anglican Church where he attended church
regularly during his younger years, participating in Church School (his favourite), Teen Summit
and representing St. Matthew's in the high jump competition of the Diocesan Annual Track meet.
He attended Our Lady's Catholic School and after a year at Aquinas, he transferred to
Jordon Prince William High School.
Having worked as an electrician's helper during the summer months, he enrolled in the Electrical
Programme at BTVI. However, his passion was caring for people, particularly elder care. He took
great pride in being the main caregiver for his bedridden Grammy Mizpah whom he loved dearly.
After the death of his Grammy Mizpah, he enrolled in the National Training Institute and completed
the Patient Care Assistant training and later First AID Training Certificate at Doctor's Hospital.
Donning his scrubs, he worked at several geriatric facilities and private homes. He also worked for
Electrical and Oven Solutions and assisted his brother in the welding business.
Tyrone was a loving and caring man who enjoyed cooking and caring for family and friends.
He was owned by many as their personal chef. No one could come close to his pork chops and steaks.
He was not one to hold a grudge and no matter how angry you may get with him, he would often
retort "I will not match your energy".
Despite his engaging personality, talents and high level of intelligence, he struggled to find his
true purpose often finding solace in various recreational herbs.
On Friday, August 2, 2024, TT suffered cardiac failure while at his residence.
He laid down and peacefully passed from life to eternity.
His favourite Bible verse was Psalm 118:24, "This is the day that the Lord has made;
Let us rejoice and be glad in it"
May his soul rest in peace.
"And God will wipe every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death,
nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things
have passed away." Revelations 21:4
