Terrance Clayton "Terry" Powell age 55 years of #44 Doubloon Drive,
Flamingo Gardens completed his final inspection at the Princess Margaret
Hospital on Monday, September 09, 2013.
He was born at Nassau, New Providence, The Bahamas on Sunday, July 20, 1958.
This child proved to be industrious and self-motivated. Terrance received his early
education at Palmdale Primary and L. W. Young. He went on to complete his education
at A. F. Adderley.
Terrance "Terry" was a hard worker. He assisted tremendously with the rearing
of his younger brothers and sisters. He was a loving and caring son; father, brother,
uncle, and friend who gave freely of himself.
Terrance worked at Britannia Towers as a Bus Boy and was later promoted to Waiter.
Subsequently he joined the staff of Environmental Health in 1979 as a Vector Control
Office where he served until his death.
Terry was a huge sports fan and an avid softball player. His love for softball was shown
in his involvement in several teams for most of his life.
Terry met and married the beautiful Deborah Saunders in 1985. This union was blessed
with two lovely daughters, Latika and Shanria Powell.
Approximately eight years ago, Terrance discovered that he had a heart condition.
Although he was sick, he continued to work. He has always been a pillar of strength
to his family, close friends, and colleagues. He gave his heart to the Lord about two
years while visiting Kemp Road Ministries.
Terrance may be absent from us, however with us he leaves an aura of class, sophistication,
and overall positive attitude that will be with us for the rest of our days.
