Nassau

Sabrina Marida "Mother" Thompson Age 49 Years #33 Foster Street, Chippingham,
completed her final duties at the Princess Margaret Hospital on Saturday, January 12, 2019.

She was born at Barraterre Exuma, the Bahamas on Thursday, August 14, 1969. "Mother",
as she was affectionately called by her family. The second child of Nigel and Eloise Thompson.

Sabrina was groomed into a fine young lady and was affectionately known as "Ting Ting",
"Butt nose", "Muda", "Bia", "Sabz", and "Brina" by family and friends. She received her
education at Barraterre All Age School, Roker's Point Primary School, Exuma Senior
High School, and Culinary Institute at the College of The Bahamas.

A very motivated, resilient and vigilant young lady, Sabrina set off to pursue his career as a
Sous Chef at Out Island Inn. She then went on to be a Teacher at the Baptist Pre School.
Sabrina relocated to New Providence where she received employment at the Royal Nassau
Sailing Club, Musha Cay, Mama's Cafe, Lyford Cay Private Home, and Worker's House.
Sabrina embodied the responsiveness of empathy and meekness, as she was able to enhance
herself to another level of competence, civility, consistency and distinctiveness.

Sabrina was blessed with two beautiful boys, Giovanno and Kenaz.

A soft-spoken individual, she instilled in her boys love, values of life, and encouraged them
to strive for excellence. She had a deep bond and love for her sister, Marsha, whom you
would see side by side. She had a special love for children, may they be blood related or
otherwise. A child touched the soul of Sabrina's heart, melt with warmth, care, potential,
a pure weakness for children. Sabrina was always a strong church goer, always interceding
on behalf of others. She was a member of the Trinity Global Cathedral, where she served as
the Armor-bearer to the First Lady. Whenever you wish to find her during the week, you can
visit the church, where her presence was always felt. She would always say, "I been to church".

On January 2016, Sabrina experienced severe abdominal pain, and was admitted to Princess
Margret Hospital. The Doctor's examination led them to determine that she had developed
colon cancer. On the 16th April, 2016, Sabrina was rush to ICU, where she underwent surgery.
Further examination was given, as she started receiving chemo treatments. While resting at
her residence, Sabrina started to experience respiratory problems. She was then rush to the
hospital on Saturday, 22nd December, 2018, where she received medical care. Sabrina fought
a good fight, kept the faith until the end. With lots of prayer for healing, family and friends
were sadden as God called Sabrina home to be another beautiful rose in His garden on 12th
January at 6:19 p.m.
