Reserve Police Inspector Hassam William Leroy Brown Sr. Age 52 Years of Inagua Way, 
Bel-Air Estates off Carmichael Road, ended this walk of life at his home, on Saturday, March 16 2002.


Hassam, was born at Abraham's Bay, Mayaguana, Bahamas
on Wednesday, May 04 1949 to the late Benjamin and Olive Brown.


Hassam, received his early education at the Abraham's Bay All-Age School.
Later he attended the R. M. Bailey High School, after moving to New Providence
with his family. He furthered his education, at the University of Miami and the
FAA Institute in Oklahoma and Dublin Ireland.


Hassam, worked for many years with Bahamasair, where he served as Manager of
Family Island flights, Assistant Airport Manager and Manager of Special Services.
He also gave service to his country, by becoming a member of the
Royal Bahamas Police Reserves, reaching the rank of Inspector.


He worshipped at Zion Baptist Church Shirley and East Street,
down town Nassau, New Providence, the Bahamas. He later became
a member of Zion South Beach Baptist Church, Zion Boulevard, South Beach.


He served as a member on the Board of the Bahamas Electricity Corporation,
member of the Commonwealth Sailing, Bahamas Boat Owners,
Mayaguana Development Association and the Abraham's Bay Planning Committee.


The Radiance of this "Emerald of A Gem" will always glow in the hearts of his:
Wife: Jacqueline Brown;
Three Sons: Hassam Jr. and Dwayne Brown and Marcian Nottage;
One Daughter: Terrell Brown;
Six: Grand Children;
Five Brothers: Calvin, Reserve Police Inspector Leslie, Victor, Everette and
Herbert Brown Deputy Director Public Hospital Authority;

Four Sisters: Enid Roberts, Elvie Pratt, Kathelene Lewis and Mable Edwards;
Father-in-law: Ethelbert Moss;
Three Brothers-in-law: Retired Police Inspector Charles, Rev. Dr. C. B. and Nathan Moss;
Seven Sisters-in-law: Doris, Ophesian, Jerline, Judy and Dr. Laurette Brown, Coleta Lightbourne and Dianne Thompson;
Two: Daughters-in-law;
Twenty-Two: Nephews;
Twenty-Four: Nieces;
Many other loving family and friends.
