Reinette Marie Hall Age: 63 Years of #37 Clifton Street West, off Mt. Royal Avenue
complete her life of service, at the princess Margaret Hospital on Saturday, October 09, 2021.
Reinette was born in Nassau, Providence, The Bahamas on Wednesday, March 26, 1958.
During her early childhood, Reinette attended the Windsor Lane Primary School.
She successfully graduated and went on to receive her secondary education at D.W. Davis
and completed her high school education at L.W. Young Senior High School.
Reinette blossomed into a vibrant and beautiful young woman, capturing the attention and
heart of Kendal Rodgers. This couple was blessed with three wonderful children.
Reinette loved serving and taking care of others. She possessed the true heart of a servant and
joined the Red Cross where she was able to do what she loved. She later relocated to Freeport,
Grand Bahama where she was gainfully employed as a waitress at a local pub. As faith would have it,
she left the pub and followed her passion of caring for others. She worked at the Grand Bahama Home
for Children where she mentored the children around her.
After being away from her family for quite some time, Reinette left Grand Bahama and returned to Nassau.
She remained on the path of service to humanity by working at the Ranfurly Home for Children.
Her insatiable passion for children and helping others took center stage of her life.
After ending a bountiful season working in the private sector, Reinette continued working with children
by offering day care services from her home.
Reinette was blessed with a heart of gold, so much so that she would literally give you the
clothes off her back. Everyone who knows her came to love and appreciate her brute honesty.
She would never purge, but always would tell you what was on her mind whether you liked it or not.
She was a well-respected matriarch through Clifton Street, a closely knitted family community
where the neighbors look out for each other. Reinette was part of this old fashion surveillance system
where you could leave your doors open, children and pets at home, and vehicles unlocked and no one
dared to interfere. You would hear the voice of Reinette through the corner, and when you walked
through you would see her sitting comfortably on the porch, enjoying her day or tending to children.
As scripture reminds us, there is a time and place for everything under heaven. Reinette lived a colorful,
influential and meaningful life until she was diagnosed with Covid-19 on Monday September 6, 2021.
Reinette was a fighter to the end, but despite her plans God had greater plans for her life.
On Saturday October 9, 2021 she slipped from earth into eternity. She will be missed for her love,
compassion, service to others, wise counsel and good cooking.
