Pedro "Barbie" Woodside

January 1, 1961 — October 26, 2015

#10B Claridge Road

Pedro "Barbie" Woodside Age 54 Years of #10B Claridge Road
made his final data entry at #20 Claridge Road on Monday, October 26, 2015.

He was born at Nassau, New Providence, The Bahamas on Sunday, January 01, 1961.
Pedro was educated at Claridge Primary School and later on graduated
from C. C. Sweeting High School in 1979.

After graduating from high school at the age of 18, "Barbie" or "Peds" as
he was affectionately called gained employment at The Department of
Statistics where he remained until his demise.  There he met and made
lifelong friends with numerous co-workers who all enjoyed his company
during working hours and outings. Pedro enjoyed watching football which
he did every opportunity he had to do so.

In 2002, Pedro met the lovely Nadia Humes. In 2005, Nadia made one of
Pedro's dreams come true. She blessed him with his first and only child,
a beautiful daughter whom they named Payton Jacqueline Madison Woodside.
Payton became the apple of Pedro's eyes. There was nothing he wouldn't do for
Payton or anywhere he wouldn't take her. He spent countless hours with her and
he was the father most would wish for. He took her on weekly dates and would
be seen daily doing the school runs of dropping off and picking up. He would carry
her school bag each and every time and there was never a time she opened or closed
any doors. Pedro has set the bar extremely high and this was a clear indication that
she would know not to accept anything less in her adult life. Pedro was the
GREATEST father to Payton and treated her like royalty.

Pedro was always family oriented, given the fact that he came from a large,
strong family and over the years Pedro's siblings, nieces and nephews can attest
to the fact that he has been instrumental in their upbringing, security and wellbeing.
He made sure that family was always priority. 'Family First' was one of his mottos.
Pedro always had a pleasant attitude and was mild mannered. He was very tolerant
and always found the good in everyone.

In 2011, Pedro was diagnosed with having Diabetes and in 2015 further diagnosed
with Renal disease, a kidney malfunction. He immediately began treatment in hopes
of getting well. During his last few month, his sister Kim took very good care of him
ensuring he received his meals daily and they engaged in conversation frequently
regarding politics and everyday life.

Pedro fought a brave fight, he kept the faith but God had a different plan for him
and called him home at 4am on Monday 26th October, 2015.
