Paula was born in Nassau, New Providence, the Bahamas, on Wednesday, January 18, 1956.

Paula, lived on Johnson Road with her family, she was christened and 
confirmed in St Anne's Anglican Church. She attended Highbury High School. 
She lived at the family home, until her marriage.

She worked as a clerk with Restaurant Bahamas Limited, 
Bahamian Lumber Paint Supply as a sales clerk, 
Bahamas Telecommunications Corporation as an Overseas Operator. 
In 1981 she moved to Mesquite, Texas with her daughter Waynette. 
She remarried and moved to Arlington, Texas.
