Norlyn Angela Pennycock-Russell

Norlyn Angela "Angie" Pennycook-Russell Age 51 Years of #19 Cat Island Avenue, Yamacraw Beach Estates and formerly of #10 Meeting Street, passed from this walk of life at the Princess Margaret Hospital on Sunday, April 18, 2010.

She was born in Nassau, New Providence, the Bahamas on Tuesday, July 22, 1958. Angie as she was known by those who knew her, left the Bahamas and schooled in Jamaica for two years. She finished her studies in New York City.

A star from the beginning, she came back to Nassau at the age of 19 years. She later met and fell in love with Hayward Laverone Russell and they were joined in Holy Matrimony on Wednesday, November 17, 1999.

Angie, baby girl, was good at everything she did. She worked at Fish Fry for Goldie's, Candies Enterprises and many other Restaurants as a hostess. Her grand personality took her on Bay Street, where she began braiding hair at Cliffies Barber and Beauty Salon. Selling those New York brand name bags, gave her the essence of being in two homes at the same time.

Angie toiled with her illness for 16 years, the battle was hers, and the victory was the Lord's. After fourteen days of battling, baby girl succumbed to her illness.
