Murma-Gayle Miller Age 55 Years of Miami, Florida passed away at 
Jackson Memorial Perdue Medical Center, Miami Florida on Sunday, August 22, 2010.


She was born at Hatchet Bay Eleuthera, The Bahamas on Friday, March 25, 1955.
Murma grew up to be a respectable young lady in the community.
Her mother and grandmother instilled in her Christian principles.
She attended the Hatchet Bay all age school now called the P. A. Gibson all age School.
As our mother, the late Mrs. Hildred Miller left home for Miami Florida to be with her husband,
the late Ivan Miller, she sent Murma Gayle to Nassau to be with family members.
While in Nassau Murma attended A. F. Adderley Senior High School.


While at A. F. Adderley, mother and daughter yearned to see and to be with each other
and during the late 1960s mother and daughter were once again reunited in Miami Florida.
While in Miami, Murma attended Miami Beach Senior High and in 1974 graduated with her
high school Diploma. During June of 1983 she became a Naturalized US Citizen.
She then went on to attend the University of Tampa where she joined the ROTC division of the army.
While at ROTC Murma was elevated to the rank of sergeant and in December of 1991 was awarded
The Army Achievement Medal. In November of 1996 she was awarded a certificate of completion
for The Department of Health and Rehabilitative Services from Miami Dade Junior College.


After graduating from the University of Tampa, Murma was employed as a
Victim Witness Counselor in the Office of the State Attorney,
The Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida.  


During the early 90's Murma Met and fell in love with the late Shayne Patterson
and on Monday, January 1, 1990 they were joined in holy matrimony.
There were no children to this union.


Murma's Christian journey began as a teen-ager in the Baptist faith, however when she moved
to Miami, she began attending St Mary's Methodist Church with her Mother' Later they moved
to John Wesley Wesleyan Methodist Church where she remain a faithful member until her expiration date.


Murma is preceded in death by her:

Great Grandmothers: Julia Sands-Dean and Albena Bethel;
Grandfather: George Henry Dean;
Grandmother: Ramona Curlene Bethel-Dean;
Uncles: Ronald, Wendell Verona I, Hayward Laclane and George Audley Dean;
Aunts: Helen and Remilda;
                                                                                       
The Radiance of this "Bloodstone of A Gem" will always glow in the hearts of her:
Two Brothers: Wayne and Oscar Maynard "Dusty" Miller Sr.;
One Sister: Jenny-Mae Kemp;
Eleven Nephews and Nieces: Oscar Jr., Destiny, Gaius, D'ondre,
Devonnia, Danielle and Allison Miller, Mrs. Dasia Johnson, Mrs. Faleesha Rolle-Paige,
Jamie Strachan and Tealeh Wright;
