Nassau

Minerva Louise "Tita" Johnson Age 72 Years of Johnson Road,
Fox Hill departed this walk of life, at Princess Margaret hospital
on Friday, February 19, 1999.

Tita, was born at Smith's Hill, Exuma, Bahamas on Wednesday, May 12, 1926
to the parentage of Isaiah King and Ceva Rolle-Johnson. At the tender age of three,
she along with her parents relocated to Nassau, where they made a home
in Johnson Road. It was there that mother blossomed into a fine young lady.
After the departure of her father, mother took a liking to dressmaking,
this she did in order to help her mother with the up keep if the house.

Tita, as she was affectionately called by her friends and family,
was well known in the neighborhood, not only for her sewing prowess,
but for kindness. She would often times have what she called, "Big Sales"
and would practically give away clothing and other notions,
for little or nothing. She also gave willfully to organizations
such as the Red Cross and the Salvation Army. She always said,
"I like to give, because if I am ever in need, I would want people to help me".

Mother, was also known for her strong will and moral values.
These strong ethics she possessed, were instilled in all her children.
Mother was a devout Church attendee and ensured that her children,
attended church on a regular basis. Even though mother loved her
children tremendously, she never compromised rights and wrongs with them.
