Bahama Coral Island

Manie "Fie" Fenelus Age: 82 Years of Bahama Coral Island Abaco, The Bahamas
was called to a fuller life at her residence on Wednesday, November 29, 2023.

Manie was born at Port-De-Paix Haiti on Monday, September 22, 1941.
Manie grew up with her parents and 5 siblings Lucillien, Okson. Melila,
Michlet and Solange. Manie grew up as a very ambitious child, into a
beautiful tall elegant young woman.

As attractive as Manie was she caught the eyes of Mr. Pierre they got together
and had a beautiful baby girl name Greda.

Life in Haiti was hard for Manie and she needed to provide for her baby girl,
so she decided to migrate to the Bahamas, where she lived in Nassau in the 1960s,
she made a living making peanut cakes and other goodies. She also sold fruits and
veggies that she purchased wholesale from the mail boats.

After a few years in Nassau, she decided to move to Abaco, where she met Mr. Nelson.
Her and Mr. Nelson had to 2 girls Marrietta and Mary. Unfortunately,
Mr. Nelson passed away, and Manie was left to raised her daughters alone.

Manie continued to make her peanut cakes and other goodies and she also
worked on the farm to provide for her 3 beautiful daughters.

In the early 70s Manie met Sanvil Fenelus the love of her life, they got together and had
6 beautiful kids Emanuel, Samuel, Scotty, Kendrick, Villard. Sanvil decided that he
needed to make an honest woman out of Manie because he knew how much love he had for her,
so in the mid-80s they got married and had 3 more beautiful kids. Sarah Elizabeth and Benjamin.

Manie was a very religious person, she raised her kids in the church,
she was a member of the choir at Creole Baptist Friendship Mission.

On the 30th of July 2023 in the early morning, she suffered a stroke and was airlifted into Nassau.
Mani was left paralyzed on the left side. Manie was known to be independent and knowing that
she wasn't able to do much for herself, made her more and more discouraged. As the selfless
person she was, she made peace with the Lord and went Home on the 29th November 2023.
