Lillian Elaine Wilson

December 16, 1946 — March 22, 2025

Rockwell Circle, off Rocky Pine Road Nassau

Lillian Elaine "Lily" Wilson Age 78 Years of Rockwell Circle, off Rocky Pine Road slipped away quietly,
at her daughter's residence on Saturday, March 22, 2025.

She was born at Nassau, New Providence, The Bahamas on Monday, December 16, 1946.
To John David Wilson and Edith Elaine Wilson (both deceased). Affectionately known as "Lily,"
she was a beacon of love, adventure, and resilience from her earliest days.

Lily's formative years were spent in Mason's Addition, Nassau. She attended
Western Junior and Western Senior High Schools.

Lily was the embodiment of hard work and dedication. From a young age, she labored tirelessly
to support herself and her family. Her early career included working in the Housekeeping Department
of the Atlantis Hotel on West Bay Street. After the hotel's closure, she embraced a new adventure as a
Nanny for several families in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, where she spent seven enriching years.
Upon her return to Nassau, she continued her journey in domestic work, earning a reputation as a
remarkable Housekeeper. Lily had a gift for cooking and baking. She was renowned for her peas and rice,
macaroni, and conch fritters. Her mouthwatering delicacies delighted family and friends alike.
Throughout her life, she also contributed to several local restaurants, sharing her culinary talents
with the wider community.

Music was a lifelong passion for Lily. As a young girl, she sang in the Bethel Baptist Youth Choir,
cherishing the memories of the Choir traveling with her Godfather the Late Rev. Dr. H.W. Brown
to the United States and the Family Islands. Her love for her church was evident as she participated
in the Annual Women's Day Choir and became a dedicated member of the Bethel's Senior Saints.
Lily's zest for life was matched by her love for travel, and she eagerly participated in the
Progressive Baptist Convention for many years.

An avid dancer, Lily delighted in teaching her children and grandchildren the latest moves from her era.
Her family was her pride and joy. She made it a daily ritual to check in on them starting with calls at 6 a.m.
to ensure they were well. Known as "The Florence Nightingale" of the family, Lily was always there
for anyone in need. She never hesitated to go the extra mile, even if it meant she had to catch the bus or
a plane to go and care for her loved ones.

In 2015, Lily suffered a stroke that left her with paralysis on her right side. By 2020, her condition had worsened,
leaving her bedridden. Despite these challenges, her spirit remained unbroken. Her mind was sharp, and her
humor ever-present. The presence of her Grandchildren filled her heart with joy, especially her first Great Grandchild,
K'lynn, who ensured "Grammy" had her water and that her phone was charged.

On March 14, 2025, Lily was taken to the hospital by her beloved daughters, Barbara and Edith,
where she was diagnosed with an enlarged heart and an infection in her lungs. After receiving treatment,
she returned home, hopeful and surrounded by her family. On Saturday, March 22, 2025, Barbara told her
that was going to prepare dinner and Lily nodded in agreement. Moments later, K'lynn rushed into the kitchen,
alarmed and calling for help. Barbara found that Lily had peacefully passed away, leaving behind a legacy
of Love and a lifetime of cherished memories.

Lillian Elaine Wilson will be remembered for her radiant smile, infectious laughter, and unwavering kindness.
Her dedication to family and friends was unparalleled, and she leaves behind a void that will never be filled.
May her soul rest in eternal peace, cherished by all who were Blessed to have known her.
