Latoya Shantell Moss

Latoya Shantell Moss Age 40 Years of Kool Acres, passed from this life into eternity 
at the Princess Margaret Hospital on Friday, January 16, 2015.


She was born at Nassau, New Providence, The Bahamas on Tuesday, September 17, 1974. 
Shantell as she was called grew up with Mara in a little room in Bain Town. 
She loved going to church with Mara, she was always helpful especially in the kitchen. 
She was not a selfish person, but was always strong willed and did her own thing.

She was so happy when she started working at the Ministry of Works, were she was employed 
for about three years. Those who knew Shantell, knew that she believed in living life to the fullest 
and embracing every opportunity she had to live, love and laugh, she would always take time 
to laugh to the extreme.

It was hard to be in her presence and not smile, even if you were upset with her, 
she had a way with words that would attract you to her. She was a kind hearted and loving person, 
with a smile that was as bright as the sun and could warm even the coldest day. She may not of had 
much, but she gave whatever she had, she was a very uplifting and positive person.

In August of 2013, Shantell was diagnosed with breast cancer, which grew quickly. 
Even tho she was in a lot of pain, she was always smiling. Shantell never gave up, 
everyone knew Shantell from the ladies at Social Services, to the Nurses at Oncology 
and Accident and Emergency. Shantell took a turn for the worse and was admitted 
again to hospital where she passed away.

Mother: Veronica Coakley; 
Grandfather: Thomas Moss;
Grandmother: Emily Moss;

The Radiance of this "Sapphire of A Gem" will always glow in the hearts of her:
Three Sons: Andreameko Moss, Christopher Jr. and Shanton Lamm;
One Daughter: Crystell Lamm;
Six Brothers: Drexel, Christopher, Ishmael and Shannondor Moss, Valentino Pinder and Andy;
Seven Sisters: Stacy, Gweneth, Janice, Nicola, Christa, Asthma and Rochelle Moss;
Two Uncles: Basil and Thomas Moss;
Two Aunts: Sylvia Arnette and Maria Roach;
Other Loving Family and Friends Including: Theresa Jolly, Rita Lewis, Erica Lamm, 
Francetta "Peaches" Dawkins, Elvia Heart, Christopher Lamm and Kentarell Mortimer.
