Kendal Wilfred Price Age 73 Years of #279 East Street South completed his final guard
at his residence on Sunday, September 20, 2015.
He was born at Nassau, New Providence, The Bahamas on Monday, January 19, 1942.
He was delivered by his loving grandmother Mary Alice Sands and grew up under her
careful watch and daily supervision. She was a stern disciplinarian and believed in
hard work which was instilled in him early.
This set the stage for the hard-working driven individual he would become.
In his early adult hood Kendal or Sir K as friends would call him became one of the top
auto body repairman in the Bahamas. A craft he proudly shared with his sons and at
times his only sister. No one was exempt from working when in Kendal's presence.
After some years he decided to take on a less physical type of work and joined the
Security Department of the Central Bank of the Bahamas where he worked until retirement.
He maintained a perfect attendance record of which he was quite proud and would often
boast that "no matter how you feel, it is your duty to go to work and be on time.
He enjoyed his work and the responsibilities that came with it.
In some circles Kendal was nicknamed "the prophet" as he loved to read and studied people
and their behaviors and could often accurately predict what persons would do in certain situations.
He was known to counsel his family as each of his children will affirm. He was an honest,
prayerful and sometimes complex individual who minded his own business and stayed
to himself but loved those close to him in a big way.
His blessing in life as he would often say was to have achieved his three score and ten that
God promised him. Having achieved that and some Kendal was called home on Sunday 20th
September 2015. We will forever treasure the time we spent here on earth together….
