Joseph Eutychus "Par Joe" Dean Sr. Age 75 Years of #3 Barrine Close,
Pine Barren Road College Garden, off Prince Charles Drive, completed his
final survey at his residence on Monday, October 01, 2012.
He was born at Morrisville Long Island, The Bahamas on Saturday, April 17, 1937.
At the tender age of one, Joseph was given to his grandmother, Emmaline Major
to care for until her demise on July 10, 1950.
Joseph received his early education at Moorisville All-age-School in Long Island.
At the age of fifteen he left school to travel to Nassau in search of a better life.
He lived with his aunt, the later Lady Caroline Butler where he was employed for
a while working in the Butler's grocery store delivering ice.
From 1954-1987 Joseph worked with O'Brien Engineering company as a Carpenter-helper
after which he joined the Surveying staff under the supervision of his uncle, the late Clarence Dean.
After working with his uncle for a short period of time, Joseph sought employment with the late
David Knowles, a surveyor, where he remained until 2000.
Joseph sought diligently for a life-long partner and in 1961 Enamae Clarke won his heart.
They exchanged nuptial vows on February 28, 1962. Joseph or 'Par' as he was fondly called,
was hard-working, friendly and generous to all he came in contact with.
In 2000 Joseph's health began to fail. As the years went by, his health continued to deteriorate
but Joseph kept the faith that one day healing will come. For the last four months his health took
a turn for the worst. On Monday, October 1, 2012 at 7:00 a.m. he entered the land where living
waters flow – where saints immoral reign – where pains, tears and even death were known no more,
thus ending seventy-five (75) years of earthly sojourn and Pilgrimage.
