Joseph Ivan Adderley Age 54 Years of Glintons Long Island,
completed his final technical repairs, at the Princess Margaret
Hospital on Tuesday, May 26, 2020.
Joseph was born at Glintons Long Island, the Bahamas on Monday, March 07, 1966.
He was the third of five children and the second son Joe, as he was affectionately called
obtain a part of his Early Education at The Simms all-age School in Simms Long Island.
He migrated to Nassau to attend the government high school for his secondary education.
Joseph being an intelligent individual, was granted a scholarship to attend
the College of the Bahamas to pursue a degree in Electronics.
Prior to completion of his studies he was recruited by the
national cash register company NCR to pursue a career as a field engineer.
He was then sent to Dayton Ohio for further training for one year.
Upon his return he worked for and NCR for five years traveling around
the Bahamas doing cash register and other electronic repairs.
During this time, he fell in love with Shonel Smith and was
blessed with their beautiful daughter Anique Chantell.
After leaving the company, he became an entrepreneur and migrated to
Long Island to assist his parents. Joseph life was instrumental to the people
of Long Island as he loved helping people. He contributed significantly to
the growth and development of the island by using his skills for electrical
and technical repairs throughout the length and breadth of the island.
He was an avid member of the bird's eye view burial Society where he
held the position of assistant secretary until the day of his demise.
He was also an active member of the Long Island Farmers Market in salt
pond Long Island where he assisted his father with the sale of his farm produce.
Joseph fell ill on April 14th 2020 and was transported to Nassau for further treatment.
He was admitted to Princess Margaret Hospital where he had major surgery done.
He was then discharged from hospital and showed slight Improvement in his condition;
however, his condition deteriorated and he was readmitted to Princess Margaret Hospital
where he slipped quietly into eternity on May 26th 2020. May his soul rest in peace
