John Craig "Big John" Williams age 42 years of #33 Saxon Way,
Mason Addition rendered his final service, at his residence on Sunday, September 16, 2001.
He was born at Nassau, New Providence, the Bahamas on Sunday November 09, 1958.
As a young boy, John attended T. A. Thompson Primary, D. W. Davis Junior High and
Highbury Senior High Schools, where he graduated.
At a tender age, John was employed at the Villa D'este at Britannia Towers as a bus boy;
he was later promoted to a Waiter. Being Ambitious, John left the Hospitality Industry
for a short time, to pursue a career in construction on the Island of Eleuthera.
Upon his return to Nassau, John reentered the Hospitality Industry where he resumed
his post as a Waiter at the Villa D'este. John was also employed at Palmdale Furniture,
Breezes Super Club and Logostics at Sun International, where he remained up to the time of his death.
During his childhood, John was lovingly nurtured by his mother and grandmother the late
Jannie Beatrice Smith-Dean and Serena Pinder-Smith and his aunt Dolly Smith-Stevens.
In 1985 John met and fell in love with Winifred "Betty" James. This courtship lasted for
four years, and on Friday September 01, 1989 their love was consummated in marriage.
This union was blessed with two beautiful daughters.
John is preceded in death by his:
Fathers: Lorenzo Williams I and Rufus Smith;
Mother: Jannie Beatrice Smith-Dean;
Grandmother: Serena Pinder-Smith;

Three Grand Sons: Brisco Larrimore, Ephesus Jr. and Javis Williams;
Six Brothers: Alexander "San" and Brendon "Dino" Dean Sr., Chief Petty Officer Lorenzo II,
Sal, Lorenzo III, Antonio and Duran Williams;
Six Sisters: Helena and Telvern Dean, Denice Dean-Bryant, Clarise Adams, Charmaine and
Laurinda Williams;
Three Uncles: William Smith, Elkin of Miami, Fla. and Robert Williams;
Seven Aunts: Dolly Smith-Stevens, Ismae and Juatha Smith, Dorneth Fernander,
Vera McIntosh, Blonevia Brice and Dorothy Monis;
Five Nephews: Jamiko, Brendon Jr., Brenard, David and Trent;
Five Nieces: Glenkiah, Lachara, Lakiesha, Brendisha and Brendena;
Six Brothers-in-law: Delroy, Joseph, Alfred and Alpha James, Freddie Bryant and Kevin Adams;
Seven Sisters-in-law: Terry Dean, Olive and Rosemarie Wilson, Opal Beharie, Faye Fraser,
Clarise and Aldyce Williams;
Cousins including: Dr. Kevin Alcena, Valderene Fraser, Christine Wemyss, Wendell G. Dean II,
Pete, Mervin and The Hon. Alvin A. Smith, M.P. North Eleuthera;
Other loving family and friends including: Tyrone Sands, Reggie, Myrtis Farrington and
Erma Thompson;
