#36 Lobster Avenue, Golden Gates #1

Halley Raymond Gray Age 93 Years of Lobster Avenue, Golden Gates #1, off Baillou Road South
completed his earthly walk of this life, at his residence on Sunday, December 22, 2024.

He was born at McKanns Long Island, The Bahamas on Tuesday, March 31, 1931.

He was brought to Nassau as a toddler to live with his aunt in Peter Street where he grew up.
He was educated at Stephen Dillett Government School. Halley excelled in school.
He was an obedient and quiet child who always displayed leadership ability.

After completing his education, he worked at several business establishments before landing
his dream job at Ronald Albury Wholesale, advancing to the position of Warehouse Supervisor.
He was highly dedicated and a hard worker, who was dependable and well respected by
management, coworkers and clients. Halley would arrive to work way ahead of his scheduled time.
He was viewed as a professional and an exemplary employee. He worked there for over 30 years up
to the closure of the business. After that, he became self-employed where he worked alongside his
wife, Angela, where they owned and operated the famous Kings and Queens Fashion Clothing Store
on Robinson Road and the New Village Gate Convenient Store on Blue Hill Road South until his retirement.

Halley met the love of his love, Angela Flora Sands, of Little Creek, South Andros.
They were joined in Holy Matrimony on July 9th, 1977 by the Reverend Dr. Alonzo A. Hinsey.
There were many fun times and memories of 52 years from their first date to present. Annual
vacations were very important family time to Halley and he began these plans from January 1st.
They were fun and memorable times. Halley loved to cook and always had a meal prepared and
a snack on the kitchen table for easy access. One of his favourite meals was fried Chad fish.
Halley was very meticulous with his attire and was always well dressed for any and all occasion.
He was a fun, loving, no nonsense, genuine man with great integrity.

Halley became a founding member of his beloved church, Golden Gates Native Baptist Church,
when the doors opened in 1975. Halley served regularly and faithfully doing whatever was in his
power to help and advance the success of the church. Halley was also a member of the Full Gospel
Business Men's Fellowship International. His presence in this organization was positively
felt serving with all his heart, body and soul.

In 2014, Halley became ill. His health continued to decline where he needed continuous medical attention.
His devoted and loving wife became his caretaker, ensuring that EVERY aspect of his health care was
attended to up to the time of his passing. His two daughters, Cathleen and Denise, both ensured
(on the 20th and the 21st of December} that their father knew the Lord and accepted Jesus as his Lord and Saviour.
Praise the Lord, he accepted both calls. Halley completed his earthly walk of this life on December 22, 2024.
