Evelyn Louise "Ma Bodie" Wallace-Bodie

Evelyn Louise "Ma Bodie" Wallace- Bodie Age 89 Years of Sand Bank, 
Treasure Cay Abaco, Bahamas went home to be with her Lord, 
at her residence on Saturday, June 13, 1998.

Evelyn was born on Friday, July 10, 1908 at South End Long Island, Bahamas. 
Evelyn obtained her childhood education at the Long Island All School. 
She grew into a fine young lady, she later moved to Nassau where she was employed 
at a private home in Lyford Cay, she later worked in Gambier Village where she lived, before she retired.

During the peak of her blooming life, Evelyn met Prince Bodie they were later married on Tuesday, October 19, 1926.

Ma Bodie as she was known by all in her community, was also called by other nick names 
such as, Ms. Evelyn or Ms. Bodie was a woman of prayer and loved the Lord with all her heart. 
She came to know the Lord at a mature age, she trusted him for all things and in all things.

In 1981 after having recovered from heart surgery, ma would still go into the field, cook, 
iron and do whatever she could put her hands to. At this point ma moved to Abaco, 
where she lived with her son and daughter-in-law.

Ma loved her family and church family, especially Pastor Stafford and Brother Moxey. 
She was a life member of Full Gospel Assembly Church, Sand Bank Treasure Cay, Abaco Bahamas.

Evelyn is preceded in death by her:

Mother: Flora Wallace;
Children: Angeline, Lerline and Eustace;

Eight Grand Children: Prince Sr., Sandra and Joseph Bodie, Shannaine Hart, 
Emma Forbes, Jennifer Watkins, Jenny and Samuel Gibson;
Twenty Great Grand Children Including: Omar, Nykera, Vastia, Prince Jr., 
Priniece, Domonique, Joseph Jr., Nikita and Jasmine Bodie, Sirnardo, 
Shermal and Shavaz Hart, Shaqua Martin, Saviour Bastian, Lestello and Chin Watkin, 
Lakeisha Collie, Dennis and Antonio Gibson and Christaina Barr;  
Two Nieces: Vernal Wallace and Cynthia Grant;
Three Grand Sons-in-law: Don Forbes, Dydney Hart and William Watkin;
Two Grand Daughters-in-law: Margilee and Iva Bodie;
Thirty-Six Adopted Grand Children: Nathaniel, Moraya, Abraham, Stephen, Peter, 
Patricia, Ruby, Leo and Monique Williams, Rosie Forbes, Clarice Wilgoose, Camille,
