Evangelist Carmel Louise "Auntie Carmie, Sister J" Johnson Age 57 Years 
of #09 Arcadian Place, Golden Gates No.2 Nassau, New Providence, The Bahamas.
Concluded her last class and rang her final school bell at her residence on Friday, July 21, 2000.

She was born on Saturday, March 27, 1943 at Hatchet Bay Eleuthera, The Bahamas.
She attended the Hatchet Bay All-Age School.

In 1958, she became a Monitor and in 1961 she was a pupil teacher. 1967-69 she attended
the Bahamas Teachers College, where she received an Endorsed Certificate. In 1972-74
she received her G. C. E. 'O' Levels in English Language and Literature. 

From 1970-97 she taught at William Sayles Primary School, now Albury Sayles Primary School
where she became Senior Mistress in 1989. From 1997 until her demise, she served as
Vie-Principal at Naomi Blatch Primary School.

One Saturday, November 1955 Carmel accepted the Lord Jesus as her personal Saviour.
On Wednesday, December 31, 1975 she was licensed as an Evangelist by the late,
Rev. Dr. H. W. Brown at Bethel Baptist Church, Meeting Street Nassau N. P., Bahamas.
Carmel took her stand, on the front line of the battlefield for her Lord.

She was appointed Superintendent of Bethel Baptist Church Sunday School Department in 1979,
Recording Secretary of the Women's Convention, Auxiliary of the Bahamas National Baptist
Missionary and Educational Convention, Public Relations Chairman, Past President of
Bethel Baptist Church Junior and Youth Choirs, Past Youth Director of Bethel Baptist Association,
Past Secretary of Bethel Baptist Church Mission Circle, Past Vic-President of Bethel Baptist Church
Prayer Band, Secretary of Bethel Baptist Church Senior Choir, member Bethel Baptist Church Council
and Bethel Baptist Church Association Planning Committee.

Father: Enoch Johnson;
Mother: Eunice Woods;

Four Adopted Brothers: Robert, Martin, Claude and Lambert Farrington;
Eight Adopted Sisters: Rev. Bessie Dean, Mae Cambridge, Mena Ranger, Audrey Farrington,
Keva Bethel, Julie Johnson, Martha Moxey and Shelia;
Thirteen: Nephews;
Fifteen: Nieces;
Seven Grand Nephews: Toots, Tossone, D.J., Keith Jr., Giovanni, Lyndon and Cordero;
Eight Grand Nieces: Nish, Yvonne, Cassandra, Thayne, Chrissie, Pandora, Antonia and Takell;
Three Sisters-in-law: Charlene and Marion Stuart and Mavis Johnson;
Adopted Daughter-in-law: Angela Munroe;
Many other loving family and friends.
