Ernestine Emerald Hutcheson-Major Age 59 Years of #60 McKinney Avenue,
Stapleton Gardens and formerly of Hatchet Bay, Eleuthera completed this walk of life,
on Thursday, December 23, 2004.
Ernestine, was the first of three children, born to the late (Rev. Dr. Albert A. E. II and
Belle Emerald Hutcheson), at Alice Town, Hatchet Bay, Eleuthera on Monday, March 12, 1945.
She attended the Eastern Junior and Western Senior High Schools and always displayed a
love an interest music and distributed her talents by playing the piano, organ, singing or writing music.
This quiet giant of a lady, was an entrepreneur and banker who was also very interested in sewing and sports.
Ernestine's wide range of interests afforded her the opportunity, to touch lives in a number
of different arenas. She was employed at the Ranfurly Home for Children, Spotless Laundry,
Wilmac's Pharmacy, Bank of Nova Scotia, Jasmine Florist and Kemp Road Ministries.
She was a confidant, true friend and devout Christian, who not only was active in Church,
but displayed the true love of Christ as her Saviour, in her everyday walk. Her love for her
family was of the utmost importance and she was known on a daily basis to convey expressions
of love to all of her family especially to her son and grand children, by telephone calls,
voice messages and the like.
The Radiance of this "Bloodstone of A Gem" will always glow in the hearts of her:

Five Aunts: Corrine Thompson, Rhona Bethel of Hatchet Bay, Eleuthera,
Almetha "Mattie" and Natalie Hutcheson and Mary Higgs of Miami, Florida;
Two Grandaunts: Fredrica and Helen Brown;
Other loving family and friends.
