Retired Corrections Officer Earthlin Nathaniel Miller Age 74 Years of #17 Cottonwood Street,
Pinewood Gardens, stood his final guard at his residence on Sunday, September 29, 2019.
He was born at St. Michael, Barbados on Friday, June 29, 1945. He was the second child and eldest son of
Frank and Geraldine Miller.
Earthlin was a kind, loving and caring person. Education was a top priority to him. He was the only child of
Geraldine who was born in Panama that spoke Spanish fluently. While living in Barbados he was very generous
with his time. Tutoring the students in his village and for free. His brother Ervin could not get away from his
lessons even on Saturday or during school vacation. Earthlin would give assignments and it would have to be
completed when he ask for it.
Earthlin became his sibling's protector and guide at the age of 14 after his father died. Earthlin attended
Montgomery Boys Primary school. He then attended the top private secondary school for the middle and
working class in Barbados.
On graduating from high school he joined the Barbados Police Force as a cadet. He could have been the top
recruit but was seen by some of the officials as too militant. After police collage Earthlin was recruited by the
Bahamian government where he joined the Bahamas Department of Corrections. He served 30+ years. After
he retired he also worked as a security at Super Value, Atlantis phase 3 and finally at Pirates of Nassau.
On Saturday, May 08, 1976 he married Olive Albertha Thompson. In sports he loved the game of cricket.
It was his passion. He played the game as a wicket keeper and batsman. He loved the West Indian Cricket
team but would support any team based on performance. He loved reading, keeping up on current events
puzzles, game of strategies and a good argument.
For many year before the death of his wife Earthlin had minor symptoms of Alzheimer's it was controlled
by medication. A few years after Olive's death his daughter Amanda notice some peculiar behavior.
She discover that her dad had stop talking his medication thus speeding up the progression of the disease.
For two week he stop eating and was confined to bed. On Saturday, September 28, 2019 Earthlin's caregiver
Robert clean him up and put him to sleep. Around 10:30 pm Robert went to check on him and found him
not breathing. Earthlin has no more needs or wants he is resting in the arms of his creator. Sleep on and
take your rest.

Eight Granddaughters: Marcia, Hannah and Aaliyah Miller, Autumn St. Charles, Savanah Black,
Aniska Johnson, Alaya Glinton and Damitra Adderley;
Two Great Grandson: Nathario Miller Jr. and Damari Thompson;
One Great Granddaughter: Royal Rolle;
Four Brothers: Ervin and Junior Miller, Harald and George Agard;
Five Sisters: Idalia, Esther and Elicia Miller, Emmaline Vandyke and Julie Miller-Ramsey;
Numerous: Nephews and Niieces;
One Uncle: Evans Forde;
Brothers-in-law: Leslie, Neville, Danny, James, Sherman and David Thompson;
Sisters-in-law: Sylvia Mackey, Marilyn Adderley, Mattie Emmanuel, Theresa Thompson and Emmaline Debre;
Other Loving Family and Friends Including: especially his caregiver Robert Williams, Ceotti Cooper,
Navardo Neely, Mrs. Moxey, Sophie Moss and their families. Teddy Grazette, Buckcrin, Mr. Hall, Sealey and
the rest of the Barbadian connection. The guys under the tree by Jeff's Auto, Cottonwood Street East
Pinewood Gardens and St. Thomas More Church families.
