Dennis Uriah Culmer Age: 53 Years of North Palmetto Point Eleuthera,
complete his last building and made his final catch at the Princess Margaret
Hospital on Saturday, May 14, 2022.
Dennis was born at North Palmetto Point Eleuthera, the Bahamas on Sunday, April 13, 1969.
Danny grew up a carefree child, doing the things most boys dream of doing.
His partners in crime - Evan, Michael, Patrick and Gene lead them from making kite,
to making bird coops, to going on the rocks fishing, to exploring all the way to the beach at
Paw Michael bay, to motor bikes, to cars. Danny had a small circle of friends.
He received her early education at the Palmetto Point all Age School, now,
Emma E. Cooper Primary School. And moved on to Windermere High School
where he made it same so easy. The Principal would often tell Mom that
Danny didn't have to work so hard to achieve a good grade but Sue on the
other hand had to work hard for what she wanted.
While Daddy was off island working, Don was his father figure and wanted to follow him
everywhere he went, but Don wasn't happy to have his little brother following him everywhere.
One day while in the country, he spotted the girl of his dreams. He ran to Don and told him
that he saw the most beautiful girl over by Charmaine's house and he needed to get her attention.
He asked Don to borrow his then red trans am and the rest is history.
Danny knew the true vales of life – God, family and community.
Family life was what Danny lived for. He would move the world if he could and made sure
his family didn't want for anything. No was not in his vocabulary when they wanted something.
It wasn't an event that any of his children involved in and he wasn't present. He has always, always been there.
His day didn't start before stopping by his mother to ensure she was okay. He would stop a
few times during the day and before he turned in at night.
Danny's early days of work was alongside this brother, Don in the carpentry business,
he then ventured out into fishing where the whole family was involved. His wife Tracey,
his oldest son, Lorenzo and his nephews, Delvin, Theo and Dennis were his main crew,
whether it was stone crabbing or deep-sea fishing. Tracy ended up being the biggest catcher of fish.
Danny later worked with Shaun, Juice and Carlson doing electrical work, up until his demise.
Danny and Tracy both became members of the Dart Association. They both joined the
Krusty Krab Krushers and travelled representing Eleuthera and the Bahamas in tournaments.
Danny wasn't big at going to the Doctor. When asked how he was doing, he would say, "I got this",
"I'm good". Tuesday morning 10th May, 2022, Don took him to the Palmetto Point Clinic
because he didn't like the way he looking. He was later flown into Nassau for further attention.
The family was called in and he finished his course Saturday, 14th May, 2022 on the male medical #1 ward
at Princess Margaret Hospital, in Nassau. Danny has gone on to join the other family and friends that has
gone on before him, especially Daddy, Aunty Judy, his mother and father in laws, Uncle Joe and Michael.
We celebrate with you and those that have gone before you, as you entered the sweet haven of rest.
