Nassau

Deaconess Ruthmae Doreen Williamson-Sargent Age 49 Years of
#1679 Walnut Street, Pinewood Gardens took her eternal rest at the
Princess Margaret Hospital on Wednesday, May 06, 2009.

She was born on Saturday, January 09, 1960 at Pine Field Acklins,
the Bahamas she was the second child of King and Daisy Williamson-nee Ford.
A few years following Ruthmae's birth, the family moved to Nassau, where they
began a new life. As a child, Ruthmae was well liked for her mild spirit and bright
smile; a characteristic that defined her throughout her life.

Ruthmae took an interest in art and sewing while studying at R. M. Bailey
Senior High School. As a young adult, Ruthmae continued to sew, despite
working full-time at various enterprises, and she always looked forward to
setting down and starting a family.

As a homemaker, Ruthmae seized every opportunity to tend to the needs
of her children, and she provided 100% support in all of their endeavors.
She was even more attentive when it came to her Christian duties. She
enjoyed participating in all church activities and took pride in assisting
with the beautification and décor of the new sanctuary at Trinity Full Gospel
Baptist Church. Everyone who knew Ruthmae can attest to the fact that she
lived an exemplary Christian life.

In 1989 Ruthmae was diagnosed with polycystic kidney disease.
She eventually began dialysis treatments and fought through all of her
subsequent hospitalizations. Even though she was in extreme pain and
often weak from her illness, Ruthmae always maintained an optimistic
outlook and her signature, bright smile.

On Tuesday, April 21, of this year after experiencing tremendous pain
at home, Ruthmae was driven to the Princess Margaret Hospital by two
of her daughters. Though she experienced much pain for the duration of
her final hospital stay, she maintained her smile and her strong faith in
God. She exuded to quiet confidence of someone who knew that
everything would be alright.
