Darrel "Derry, Jerry, Bubba" Smith Sr. Age: 51 Years of Gloria Court, off Karl Road 
Claridge Dale Gardens, completed his final building at the Princess
Margaret Hospital on Thursday, January 14, 2021.


He was born at Nassau, New Providence, the Bahamas on Friday, August 08, 1969.
He was the seventh child and fifth son.

Derry attended E. P. Roberts Primary, C. H. Reeves Jr.
High and graduated from Government High School.


He began his working career as a construction helper with his father during summer holidays.
Upon completing school, he continued working with his father in the construction field where
he learned the trade. During his time away from construction he worked as a manager at Checkers Café.
His time in the restaurant industry gave him the experience needed to open his own business
which he named Jerry's Diner. When the diner closed in 20?? Derry returned to construction
where he obtained his contractor's license. 


Derry began having problems with his heart which caused him to be hospitalized in 2019.
In January 2021 he was again admitted to the hospital with chest pains. He was diagnosed
as having a heart attack. Four days after being admitted his heart failed and he went to be with the Lord.


Darrel is preceded in death by his:

Sister: Linda Danielle Smith;
