#23 Kenilworth Avenue, South Beach Estates

Daniel Wilfred Moxey Sr. Age 70 Years of #23 Kenilworth Avenue, South Beach Estates
completed his earthly building and constructed a new one, at his residence on Friday, April 10, 2015.

He was born in the quiet and peaceful settlement of Duncan Town, Ragged Island,
The Bahamas on Saturday, September 30, 1944.

Dan received his early education at the Ragged Island All Age School.
Upon completion of his studies at age 14, he went to sea with his cousin Roy Lockhart and
Uncle Bruce Munroe, trading farm produce between Cuba, Ragged Island and New Providence.
He worked as a deck hand and cook. Wanting to further his career he was offered and accepted
a position at the Ministry of Works as a mason apprentice. Dan was a talented man and
excelled at his work rising to the ranks of Chief Superintendent. During his forty plus years
at the Ministry he received many accolades and awards for his loyal and dedicated service.

On 23rd December, 1970 Dan was joined in Holy Matrimony to Mary Jane Maycock and
the couple were blessed with three children. He was proud of his family and always spoke
highly of his wife and children. He always wanted the best for his children and was selfless
in the sacrifices he made, taking multiple private jobs to support them. He did excellent work,
even building his own home, and was sought after by many. Dan was always very proud of his
heritage and was one of the founding members of the Ragged Island Development Association.

Eight years ago, he suffered a mild stroke and doctors placed him on dialysis.
On 10th April, Dan slipped away peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior with his wife,
son and granddaughter Deja at his side.
