Cleo Dometa "Ms. Cleo" Clarke-Weekes

Cleo Dometa "Ms. Cleo" Clarke-Weekes Age 78 Years of Soldier and Abundant Life Roads, 
was taken into the arms of her Lord and Saviour, at her residence on Sunday, May 04, 2008.

Cleo was born on Wednesday, August 07, 1929 at St. Michael, Bridgetown Barbados. 
She was the second of two children and the only girl. She was educated at the St. Michael 
All Girls School, upon her graduating she went to work with her father in his store. 

On February 09, 1956 she was joined in Holy Matrimony to Mr. Rudolph Weekes at 
St. Anne's Anglican Church, Fox Hill. This union was blessed with one son, 
Wesley Austin Weekes. She was employed as head cashier during the day, at the Emerald 
Beach Hotel now Crystal Palace and Casino Cable Beach, West Bay Street and during the 
evening at the Lowes Paradise Island Hotel and Villas, where she remained for eleven years.

She has been a life resident of Nassau, New Providence, The Bahamas for the past fifty-two years. 
She has also been a faithful member of Christ the King Anglican Church, Ridgeland Park 
West for the past thirty-seven years.

Upon leaving the Hotel Industry in the early seventies, she pursued a career in the insurance 
field and was employed with Pioneers, British Fidelity and Star Insurance Companies. 
During her free time, she took a course in cosmetology and in 1981 she obtained her 
Bachelor's Degree and in 1983 her Master's Degree from the Institute of Cosmetology in Washington DC.

Now equip with the tools and skills necessary, she followed her dream of business ownership. 
She opened her own salon, where she worked until her retirement in 2003. 

Cleo is preceded in death by her:

Father: Oscar Clarke;
Mother: Louise Clarke;
Brother: Ernest Clarke;

The Radiance of this "Sardonyx of A Gem" will always glow in the hearts of her:
One Son: Wesley Austin Weekes;
One Grand Son: Rashad Austin Weekes of Daytona Beach, Florida;
One Adopted Daughter: Catherine Weekes;
Three Adopted Grand Children: Shekeithera, Kia and Keith McPhee Jr.;
Her Caretaker: Jennette;
