Charles Alton McQueen

December 4, 1964 — November 25, 2025

Charles Alton McQueen Age 60 Years of #18 Palm Avenue, off Wulff Road completed his final works, at the Princess Margaret Hospital on Tuesday, November 25, 2025.He was born at Nassau, New Providence, The Bahamas on Friday, December 04, 1964.

He was born at Nassau, New Providence, The Bahamas on Friday, December 04, 1964. He was the fourth of five children born I to the household of Charles Alton McQueen and Eudell Rella "Rell" McQueen.

He attended the Stephen Dillet Primary School on Wulff Road and later attended the C. H. Reeves Junior High School. As a young man, he got one of his first jobs over at Club Land'Or but would not be satisfied there.

He was a hands-on learner and soon got a job at the Ministry of Works, where he eventually was recognized as a first-rate carpenter, also known as a Grade 1 carpenter. His skills were many, which included plumbing, masonry, tiling, and even welding, which he taught himself. He believed that being a McQueen meant that you could learn and do anything, and that all you had to do was pick up a book and read it.

Due to health reasons, he retired earlier than he would have wished. Just a few years after retirement, on Thursday, 20th November, 2025, Charles would be rushed to the trauma section of the Princess Margaret Hospital. Sadly, on Tuesday, 25th November, 2025, at 2:13 a.m., Charles would passed away.

Nevertheless, his memories linger on. In his early days, Charles loved piling his nieces and nephews onto the back of his truck to go get KFC.

Although he kept to himself mainly, one of Charles' more memorable traits was that of a family protector. No one was allowed to abuse his family; one call, and he would drop every and anything he was doing to come to the aid of his family, even if he had just had a row with them. Charles was especially protective of his little brother, Steve, who, being the youngest of the siblings, was sometimes referred to as the baby. Charles was fearless.

Nothing meant more to Charles than family, even if he didn't know how to express it with words. If you needed or wanted his help, he would go out of his way to give it and stick with you to the very end.

Charles did not keep many friends, but those whom He counted as friends also knew that they could rely on his support and he on theirs.
