Charles Phillip Fuller "Woopsy Boy" Forbes I Age 67 Years of
Palmetto Road, Sunset Park dined his final guest, at the
Princess Margaret Hospital on Wednesday, May 28, 1997.
Born at Bombarra, Turks and Caicos Island, on Saturday, February 15, 1930 to the
late Mr. Nathaniel and Mrs. Dorothy Forbes, he was the
second of three children of this union.
Charles, was educated at Bombarra Primary School and
Bottle Creek High School. After the death of his father,
he moved to Nassau N. P., Bahamas with his mother.
He was first employed at Hatchet Bay, Eleuthera with the
Levy Chicken Farm for eight years. he went on the contract
in the United States for a few years.
Upon his return to Nassau, from the contract, he met the love of his life.
Phillip was joined in holy Matrimony on September 06, 1956 to
Winnifred Gardiner. Into this lovely union, was born nine
beautiful children one of whom pre-deceased him.
Fuller as he was called by his wife, Daddy by his children,
Uncle by his nephews and nieces, Mr. Forbes by his subordinates and
Whoopsy Boy by his friends, was a provider in every sense of the word.
As he not only provided for his family, but for his mother until she died
and the community where he lived.
After settling in Nassau, Charles worked in the Hotel Industry.
Firstly at the Emerald Beach Hotel as a bus boy, being vibrant and a
quick learner, he moved from bus boy to waiter within a week.
He worked in most of the major hotels in Nassau, his last
place of employment, was at the Lowes paradise Hotel as Manager of the Coffee Shop.
Charles is preceded in death by his:
Father: Nathaniel Forbes;
Mother: Dorothy Forbes;

Wife: Winnifred Gardiner-Forbes;
Three Daughters: Dorothy Forbes-Barr, Andrea Joy Missick and Shermica Forbes;
Six Sons: Keith, Charles II, Able Mechanic Don of the Royal Bahamas defense Force,
Nathaniel, Andrew and Dr. Gerald Forbes;
Eighteen Grandchildren: Tenille Barr, Roshaunda, Renisse, Perry, Keith Jr., Monique,
Roslyn, Azzie, Kimberly, Brian, Anthony, Sharad, Kaleah and Marcus Forbes, Ishaka Mortimer,
Krystal and Isaac Missick Jr.;
Four Sisters: Mary Walkine, Susan Clarke, Alvissa Forbes and Orelia Annie Musgrove;
One Aunt: Sarah Outten;
Mother-in-law: Roselyn Gardiner of Bottle Creek, Turks Island;
Two Sons-in-law: Ivan Barr and Isaac Missick Sr.;
Four Daughters-in-law: Emma, Linda, Renita and Valerie Forbes;
Seven Sisters-in-law: Bernice Bullard, Susan Peterson, Yvette and Marie Gardnier,
Carolyn Thompson, Eva Sherry and Pearlie Forbes;
Four Brothers-in-law: Rev. Enos and Glen Gardiner, Eric Thompson and Willie Sherry;
Numerous Nephews, Nieces, Grandnephews and Nieces: many other loving family and friends.
