Catherine Legras-McDonald Age 88 years of #03 Fox Hill Road and Hard Hill Avenue, 
completed her earthly walk of this life at the Princess Margaret Hospital, on Tuesday, February 21, 2017.


Catherine was born at Port-De-Paix, Haiti on Friday, September 07, 1928. As a teenager,
she moved to New York in search of a better way of life. In the 1950's she relocated to Nassau,
were she met Mr. Bertram McDonald and on Thursday, September 19, 1957 they were joined
in holy matrimony at Church of Christ. This union produced one daughter, Marilyn McDonald.


Catherine resided through Lucky Heart Corner with her husband Bertram. She always looking
for ways to better her condition, so she became a merchant, selling her goods on a daily bases.
After the death of her husband Bertram in April of 1985, she relocated to Abaco, there she
continued to fend for herself until she once again she had to relocated to Nassau, after her
home was destroyed by fire.


Catherine was admitted to the Demetrius Home and Care Center, Hard Hill Avenue and
Fox Hill Road North. There she was care for by the administration and staff. She was later
admitted to the Geriatric Hospital. Mrs. McDonald was admitted to the Princess Margaret
Hospital were she was called from labour to reward.


The Radiance of this "Sapphire of A Gem" will always glow in the hearts of her:

Hospital, Mrs. Janice Evans and the entire Staff and residents of Demetrius Home and Care Center,
Hard Hill Avenue, Fox Hill Road North and the Senior Citizens Division of the Department of Social Services.
