Bernice Woods-Johnson Age 83 Years of Mangrove Cay Andros and formerly of
#18 Rosewood Street, Pinewood Gardens completed her earthly walk of this life at
the Princess Margaret Hospital on Tuesday, December 03, 2024.
She was born at Andros, The Bahamas on Wednesday, April 16, 1941.
She was one of two beautiful twin girls Vernal & Bernice, unfortunately
Vernal's life was cut short at the age of 8yrs old leaving Bernice behind,
she received her Education at the Warren High School and finding
employment at the Coco Cola & Bravo Soda factory, she also found
employment at Bahamas Blenders, her life was not complete until
she was swept off her feet when she met & married George Alexander Johnson,
this union was blessed with six children.
Bernice was a vibrant, strong and independent woman,
she would battle anything that life would throw at her including breast cancer,
she had relocated to Mangrove Cay Andros in 2020 where she had stayed with
her daughter and attended the Clinic there, everywhere she went she was loved
she will be missed by the Community of Mangrove Cay, she was strong-willed
but she lost her battle to cancer on the 3rd December 2024 leaving behind to cherish her memories
Bernice is preceded in death by her:

Father: Hartman Alfred Woods;
Mother: Rowena McKinney Smith-Woods
