Barbara Maria Archer-Morris

August 5, 1953 — November 14, 2022

#9 Nassau Village, Apartment #5

Barbara Maria Archer-Morris Age 69 Years of Nassau Village, exchanged this life for eternity,
at her residence on Monday, November 14, 2022.

Barbara was born at Nassau, New Providence, The Bahamas on Wednesday, August 05, 1953.
The world was blessed when Barbara Maria was born to parents Ruby Hepburn and Audley Archer.
Barbara was always a quiet and well-mannered child who grew into a dedicated, caring,
and strong-spirited person. She began her formative school years at St. Barnabas Preschool
followed by Oakes Field Primary School. She later moved onto the A. F Adderley
(formerly Harrold Road High School), where she completed High School in 1970.

After leaving High School, Barbara began working at New Oriental Cleaners as a Presser.
After leaving New Oriental she worked at various cleaners, and briefly as a private housekeeper.
She later returned to New Oriental Cleaners where she remained until retiring in 2019.
Barbara was described as pleasant to work with. She never missed work unless she had an
appointment and was a committed and diligent worker.

In May 1975, Barbara had her only daughter Tanice, who was the apple of her eye.
Over the years, she and Tanice became the best of friends. They lived, travelled,
and often went out together. This bond continued until Tanice's death in September 2020.

In 1979, Barbara met the love of her life, Garnet. They were married in August 1983
and remained together for almost 40 years. Garnet passed away in January 2022.

Barbara was committed to her family, her job, and her God. She was a very quiet
and private person. She was raised Anglican but moved to the Baptist faith to worship
with her husband. However, she never forgot her Anglican roots, often attending
special anniversary services at St. Agnes. Barbara was committed to serving others
as she ministered with much pride and joy on the Usher Board of New Covenant Baptist Church.

Barbara slipped away unexpectedly on November 14, 2022, making her life complete.
She will be deeply missed by her family and friends and will always be remembered
for her quiet, dedicated, dependable and caring spirit.
