Ammie Augusta "Grammie" Wilson-Jones Age 82 Years went home to be with the Lord, 
on Thursday, February 28, 1991 at her daughters residence, #09 Karl Road,Claridge Dale Gardens,
off Claridge Road.


Grammie as she was known was born on Monday, August 03, 1908. She grew up and attended
the Duncan Town All Age School, Ragged Island Bahamas. she met and fell in with the handsome
Erskine Nathaniel Jones, a Stevedore from Bottle Creek Turks and Caicos Islands. This union was
blessed with two wonderful children, Dora Christine and David Nathaniel.
She relocated to
New Providence, along with her husband in the early years.


Grammie's love for her family went beyond just her two children. She was responsible for most
of the up bringing and guidance of her brothers and sisters and their children, even some of their
grandchildren. She also played a major role in the lives of most of her nephews and nieces,
the community and church families.


She was a member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church at Duncan Town, Ragged Island,
The Bahamas where she taught Sunday School, under the pastorate of her brother the
Rev. Theodore Sylvanus Wilson, JP.


She became a life member of the Bethel Baptist Church, Meeting Street Nassau, New Providence,
The Bahamas under the pastorate of the late Rev. Dr. H. W. Brown now Rev. Timothy Stewart,
where she was an integral part of many of the church auxiliaries, such as the Pray Band,
Mission Circle and the Willing Workers.

The Radiance of this "Sardonyx of A Gem" will always glow in the hearts of her:

Two Great Granddaughters: Latoya L. D. Parris and Taneisha A. Dean;
Two Brothers: Rev. Theodore S. of Nassau and Aquilla G. Wilson of Miami, Florida;
Three Sisters: Repertha L. Wilson-Lightbourne, Keva E. Wilson-Armbrister and Sylvia Wilson-Bridgewater;
Ten Nephews: Rufus Higgs, Simon (Gertrude) and Rev. Elvin Bridgewater (MaeHelen) of Carol City, Florida,
