Admiral Cleeamad "DJ Rootbeer" Vergil Age 40 Years of #38 Sea Fan Drive, Sea Breeze Estates, played his final song at the Princess Margaret Hospital on Saturday, February 21, 2026.
He was born to the parentage of James Culmer and Claramae Bain, at Smith’s Hill South Andros, The Bahamas on Wednesday, June 05, 1985.
A Time To Educate:
Admiral obtained his primary education from Ridgeland Primary School 1971-1997. He then matriculated to A. F. Adderley Junior High School 1997- 2000 and then onto C.V. Bethel Senior High School 2000-2003 where he graduated. Upon completion of high School Abby attended BTVI and took up the course of carpentry.
A Time To Work:
Abby was an ambitious young man who sought employment at an early age at a security firm. Shortly after employment, at the age of eighteen Abby was struck by a car while driving his motorbike which left him paralyzed. Abby loved music and as a result he became his own entrepreneur as a D.J. “DJ Rootbeer” Despite facing significant physical or personal limitations Abby continues to advance, succeed and maintain his drive. Abby is a young man who triumphs over adversity and refuses to let his physical limitations dictate his life. Disability did not stop his personal, professional or creative momentum. He did almost everything a person with two legs could do. Abby loved to party with family and friends. He valued social connection, celebration and created shared memories. He was a kind, generous, positive and happy soul, a fun person to be around,
A Time To Die:
During the month of December, 2025 Abby became ill and was in and out of the hospital. During his illness Abby’s life was transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit and on Saturday February 21, 2026 he was called from earth to glory. Even at this time, with our hearts heavy with sorrow and grief, we are forced to say, “Until we meet again” We weep, but we weep with the hope of one day meeting you again. Until that time, we are forced to hold onto memories you have so graciously created with us. Take your rest Admiral Vergil. You will forever be imprinted on the hearts of us all.
